The service of re-dedication of the replacement memorial cross for F/O Gerry Clermont RCAF, held on the 6th May at Stanstead  House. F/O Clermont flew with 175 Squadron who were based at Holmsley South.

Four family members (two nieces and two nephews) attended the short ceremony, having flown in from Canada and Abu Dhabi. The ceremony was also attended by  representatives of the Royal Canadian Air Force, the Royal Air Forces Association, the Royal British Legion and the Chairman of Trustees of FONFA (Dr Henry  Goodall). A minute’s silence was observed. A bugler sounded the Last Post and Reveille, before a brief Spitfire flypast took place, as a salute to F/O  Clermont.
