Historic New £50 Note Design – Vote for R.J. Mitchell, designer of the Spitfire and S6B

There has been much discussion about whose name and image that is to be on the new UK £50 note. It has been suggested that R.J Mitchell, designer of the Spitfire should be the face on the new note. What a great idea! There is a new petition “UK Government: Historic New £50 Note Design” at the website address below. Please add your name, if you wish to support the petition to the UK Government.                                                                                        We are already over the 3000 signature mark, and climbing.                       You can read more and sign the petition here: https://chn.ge/2ziPrAN

Spitfires played a vital part in the Battle of Britain in 1940 and were based at Holmsley South and Ibsley, in large numbers, later in WWII. Please publicise this petition as widely as possible, if you would like to see it happen.

Many Thanks to everyone for supporting this achievement!

Could I ask if this banknote’s mark has a Polish checkerboard stamp and this is Spitfire Squadron 303? Best regards
